Please bring help to load furniture and heavy items. Auction staff will not be able to assist in loading.

Our goal is to make every auction fair, efficient, and enjoyable for everyone involved. These Terms & Conditions are not intended to sound harsh—they simply allow us to conduct auctions smoothly, treat every bidder equally, and keep pickup organized for our sellers, buyers, and staff. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

By registering and placing a bid, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions.

Buyer's Premium

A Buyer's Premium will be added to all purchases.

  • 15% when paying by credit or debit card
  • 12% when paying by cash, check, cashier's check, or wire transfer

Applicable Virginia sales tax will be collected unless a valid Virginia tax exemption certificate is provided prior to payment.

Credit Card Authorization

A $5.00 credit card authorization may appear as a pending transaction when you register to bid. This is not a charge and is used only to verify that your payment method is valid.

Lucky Dog Auction & Realty, Inc. does not collect or retain these funds. The authorization will typically disappear within 1–2 business days, depending on your financial institution.

If you do not make any purchases, you will not be charged.

Payment

Payment is due within 24 hours of the auction ending, unless otherwise stated in the auction details.

Accepted forms of payment include:

  • Cash
  • Check
  • Cashier's Check
  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • Discover
  • Wire Transfer ($20.00 wire transfer fee applies)

Credit card payments are limited to $5,000.00.

Items may not be removed until payment has been received in full.

Item Condition

All items are sold AS-IS, WHERE-IS, with no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied.

While every effort is made to provide accurate descriptions and photographs, all descriptions are provided as a guide only. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the scheduled preview and inspect items before bidding.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, items have not been tested.

All sales are final.

Bidding

Every bid placed constitutes a legally binding contract to purchase.

Please bid carefully. Bids cannot be canceled or withdrawn.

Lucky Dog Auction & Realty, Inc. reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or revoke bidding privileges at its sole discretion.

Online Bidding

Our online auctions feature staggered closing with automatic bid extensions.

If a bid is placed during the final seconds of a lot, bidding will automatically extend to provide all bidders a fair opportunity to continue bidding.

Lucky Dog Auction & Realty, Inc. is not responsible for internet outages, software malfunctions, technical difficulties, server failures, or missed bids resulting from circumstances beyond our control.

Pickup

Pickup dates and times are listed with each auction and are strictly enforced.

Buyers are responsible for removing all purchased items during the scheduled pickup period. If you are unable to attend pickup, it is your responsibility to arrange for someone else to retrieve your purchases.

Items not removed during the scheduled pickup date and time, unless prior arrangements have been approved by Lucky Dog Auction & Realty, Inc., will be considered abandoned. The credit card used to register for the auction will be charged for any unpaid invoice balance, buyer's premiums, applicable sales tax, storage fees, disposal fees, and any other charges authorized under these Terms & Conditions.

Any items not picked up during the scheduled pickup period without prior approved arrangements will be forfeited without refund. No exceptions. Lucky Dog Auction & Realty, Inc. reserves the right to resell, retain, donate, recycle, or otherwise dispose of abandoned property without further notice.

Failure to pick up purchased items may result in suspension or permanent revocation of bidding privileges.

Loading

Auction staff is not responsible for moving, dismantling, disconnecting, lifting, packaging, or loading purchased items.

Buyers are solely responsible for bringing adequate labor, proper vehicles, trailers, straps, boxes, blankets, packing materials, dollies, forklifts, tools, or any equipment necessary to safely remove their purchases.

Any item requiring dismantling, disconnecting utilities, or specialized equipment is solely the buyer's responsibility unless otherwise announced by the auction company.

All loading and removal are performed entirely at the buyer's own risk. Lucky Dog Auction & Realty, Inc. assumes no responsibility for damage to vehicles, trailers, buildings, purchased items, equipment, or personal injury occurring during loading or removal.

Before leaving the auction site, buyers are responsible for verifying that they have received all purchased items. Any items left behind after a buyer departs the premises become the sole responsibility of the buyer. Lucky Dog Auction & Realty, Inc. is not responsible for locating, storing, replacing, or refunding items inadvertently left behind.

Shipping

Shipping is available only on firearms and must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

Buyers are responsible for all shipping, insurance, transfer, handling, and applicable FFL fees.

Failure to Pay

Invoices not paid within 24 hours of the auction ending may result in:

  • Suspension or permanent revocation of bidding privileges
  • The credit card on file being charged
  • Collection of any outstanding amounts owed
  • Legal action or collection efforts, if necessary

Auctioneer's Rights

Lucky Dog Auction & Realty, Inc. reserves the right to:

  • Correct catalog errors or omissions
  • Withdraw items before or during the auction
  • Reject or refuse any bid
  • Resolve bidding disputes
  • Cancel or reopen bidding when necessary
  • Combine or divide lots
  • Refuse service to any person

The Auctioneer's decisions are final.

Limitation of Liability

Lucky Dog Auction & Realty, Inc. acts solely as agent for the seller.

Lucky Dog Auction & Realty, Inc. is not responsible for errors in descriptions, internet interruptions, technical failures, accidents, theft, weather events, acts of God, or any damages arising from participation in the auction.

Responsibility and risk of loss for purchased items transfers to the buyer immediately upon being declared the successful bidder, regardless of when the items are removed from the auction site.

Acceptance of Terms

By registering for and participating in this auction, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions.

You authorize Lucky Dog Auction & Realty, Inc. to charge the credit card used to register for purchases, buyer's premiums, applicable sales tax, unpaid invoice balances, and any fees authorized under these Terms & Conditions.
